A Bhutan cultural circuit through Phuentsholing, Thimphu and Paro, including Punakha Dzong, Dochula Pass and the Tiger's Nest viewpoint.
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing (160 km, ~4 hours). In the afternoon, visit the Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Complete permit processing after breakfast, then drive to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, stopping at Manakamana Temple en route.
Drive to Dochula Pass (3,150m) for panoramic Himalayan views, then visit Punakha Dzong at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers and Chimi Monastery. Return to Thimphu to see the Suspension Bridge.
Tour Thimphu's landmarks — the SAARC Building, National Library, Handicraft Emporium, National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, Tashichho Dzong, Clock Tower Square, Folk Heritage Museum and Zorig Chusum School — before transferring to Paro.
Explore Paro's highlights: Nya Mey Zam Bridge, Kichu Lhakhang, a viewpoint over the international airport, the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang, outer view) and the National Museum of Bhutan.
Drive back to Phuentsholing and check in for the night.
Check out and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for the onward journey.
